ERASMUS YOUTH EXCHANGE: BIM SEMINAR IN ISTANBUL, TURKEY, NOVEMBER 9-18, 2024
A 10-day seminar will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, in November. Romania Green Building Council is a partner for this event.
The seminar will be conducted in English and will cover essential topics such as:
- Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- The importance and purpose of BIM in modern construction and urban planning
- Practical training with Revit software
- Practical case studies and modeling exercises
- Architectural tours in Istanbul
Young professionals and students aged 18 to 30, studying architecture, construction, installations, or surveying, are eligible to participate. The organizers will provide accommodation and meals for the 10 days and reimburse transportation costs to Istanbul.

Daily Program:
- Day 1 - Monday, November 9: Arrival in Istanbul, introductory meeting, and briefing
- Day 2 - Tuesday, November 10: What is BIM? Importance, scope, and examples
- Day 3 - Wednesday, November 11: Introduction to Revit, basic Revit exercises
- Day 4 - Thursday, November 12: Start of modeling through a case study
- Day 5 - Friday, November 13: Continuation of modeling
- Day 6 - Saturday, November 14: Walking tour of architectural works in Istanbul (Historic Peninsula)
- Day 7 - Sunday, November 15: Walking tour of architectural works in Istanbul (Beyoğlu)
- Day 8 - Monday, November 16: Continuation of modeling
- Day 9 - Tuesday, November 17: Finalization and presentation of projects
- Day 10 - Wednesday, November 18: Discussion, workshop evaluation, and departure
