| Lecturer at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca | General Director at B-Lighting SRL | Director of the Electrical Engineering Laboratory at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca
Dr. Beu obtained his Ph.D. in Construction Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, specializing in "daylight offices" (natural light in workspaces). He received research grants from the University of Liverpool, CSTB Grenoble, the University of Barcelona, and the Helsinki University of Technology, where he worked on European research projects related to daylight, lighting tubing, and joinery systems. Mr. Beu is the President of the National Lighting Committee of Romania (www.cnri.ro), co-chair of the Lumen Congress (www.lightingsibiu.eu), and was the President of the Romanian Lighting Convention, Bucharest, 2011. He has participated in numerous European energy efficiency programs, with the most recent being the "European Initiative for Efficient Residential Lighting" (ENRLIN). Mr. Beu has coordinated lighting and electricity for 36 real estate projects, including Worldbank - Bucharest, Casa Radio - Bucharest, Polus Mall - Cluj-Napoca, Cluj-Napoca Philharmonic, and Sigma Towers - Cluj-Napoca. He is the editor of "Lighting Engineering" in Romania and the author of "Technical Lighting in Industrial Office Buildings," published by Mediamira, Cluj-Napoca, 2011. He is also a co-author of several books, including "Guide to Designing Low Voltage Electrical Installations" (Mediamira, 1998) and, together with Dr. Liisa Halonen, published the second volume of the interior lighting guide (Mediamira, 2000).
