About
The Romanian Green Building Council (RoGBC) has created an affordable certification for Green Homes that covers all essential aspects in evaluating and identifying the most high-performing residential projects on the market that use sustainable building principles. Economic and technical modeling have demonstrated that investing in energy efficiency measures and other sustainable attributes of green homes will reduce the owner's monthly costs, increase the selling price for the project developer, and substantially reduce the financial risk for the bank providing the mortgage loan for the home.
Over 50 residential projects with more than 10,000 homes across the country, with a market value of approximately 2 billion euros, have been certified or are in the process of obtaining Green Homes certification.
RoGBC offers courses on the certification program, relevant to all professionals in the residential construction community, providing an opportunity to engage with RoGBC experts involved in the program and network with professionals active in the residential sector.
Topics include:
- Overview of the program
- Investment profitability of certifying a Green Homes residential project
- How can a residential project developer meet the criteria for Green Homes certification?
- Examples of certified Green Homes and pre-certified residential projects in Romania
- What is a green mortgage?
- How can green building solution providers (services, materials, technology, and other products) become Approved Solution Providers for the Green Homes program?
- Examination
Course Fees:
- RoGBC Member: 150 RON
- RoGBC Non-member: 200 RON
- Student: 80 RON
