About

This course is mandatory for those who wish to obtain the "Green Building Professional" certificate.

NOTE: The course will be held online. All registered participants will receive the necessary link.

This is a three-hour course aimed at educating professionals on the importance of selecting an appropriate site for the construction and operation of green buildings. Investors need to have a clear understanding of the requirements for constructing a green building before acquiring land. International green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, etc.) include mechanisms for penalties or recognition related to how the building's location is determined—whether and how biodiversity and the ecological impact of the construction in the area are considered, access to transportation, and other considerations regarding site management and sustainability.

It is essential to have a clear understanding of the implications of sustainable site selection and management before beginning project development or even before purchasing land. Internationally recognized ecological rating tools acknowledge those who select and develop construction sites, focusing on the value of biodiversity, environmental impact, availability of public transit, and other considerations for sustainable site management.

Course Objectives:

  1. Understanding the opportunities and challenges related to sustainable site selection and management.
  2. Evaluating the value of biodiversity and innovative programs to minimize costs while maximizing ecological benefits and land value.
  3. The relationship between site selection and management with international green building certifications, based on international case studies.
