2020 Today in Romania: Achieving Net Zero Energy Homes in 2014
Location : Alesonor's Amber Gardens, 3 Occidentului street, district 1, Bucharest
From: Thursday 13 November 2014, 11:00
To: Thursday 13 November 2014, 13:00

The Romania Green Building Council (RoGBC) and Alesonor are launching the first phase of Amber Gardens; the first large scale residential project in Romania that integrates bioclimatic designs and follows the passive house standard. RoGBC analysis confirms that Alesonor's Amber Gardens development demonstrates that projects can successfully achieve today the most ambitious definition of the impending European Directive mandating Net Zero Energy Buildings in 2020 while satisfying additional, essential green building principles.

Amber Gardens is a luxury residential project in Romania that offers individual homes engineered for high performance, incorporates high-end finishes, superior lighting, better acoustics, better comfort, and healthier environments in which to live yet requiring significantly less ongoing energy and maintenance costs.

The project was the first pre-certified project in RoGBC's Green Mortgage program in Bucharest.

Starting at 11am, there is a presentation by the Romania Green Building Council and the investor/developer of the project followed by a tour. There is no cost for attendees.
