The RoGBC was pleased to invite you to another informal, but yet informative Green Café where we discussed about the changing needs of the business environment as we transform to a more sustainable construction industry and built environment.

  • The benefits of green certifications – from technical details to economic advantages;
  • Barriers and challenges for implementing energy efficiency measures;
  • Building tour – Behind the scenes of SWAN: a closer look at green design principles & technologies.

Anca Marinescu – SWAN Office & Technology Park;

Anca Marinescu is responsible for the project management and administration of SWAN Office & Technology Park in Bucharest on behalf of the owner, including overseeing the development of the project, as well as supervising facility & property management and accomplishment of Green Building conditions.  She joined SWAN’s development team in July 2007 and has been involved in the project throughout all its construction phases.

Anca’s professional background comprises more than 10 years of experience in the fields of construction, real estate development  and management, working with international clients, investors, financing institutions and valuators. Her exposure to technical know-how and understanding of civil and architectural design, fabrication technologies, constructions methods represented a valuable input in SWAN’s mission of becoming not only the first Green Building in Pipera area, but also a major landmark for the local real estate market.

Devin Saylor – Director of  Green Building Certification, Colliers Eastern Europe

Devin Saylor has more than 15 years of property experience that has given her the ability to work with a wide variety of professionals from architects, engineers, contractors, lenders, attorneys, brokers.  She has led green certification and sustainability projects across the United States, as well as in Central and Southeast Europe.  She was involved in the first green certified projects in Burgas, Bulgaria, Split and Zagreb Croatia. Devin Saylor has lectured and educated hundreds of professionals in the property industry on the applicability, requirements, and implementation of LEED rating systems. She is also a frequent speaker and presenter at conferences throughout Europe.

Information about the project: SWAN Office & Technology Park is offering over 29,000 sq m of office and commercial space in the North of Bucharest. The building was developed after an investment exceeding € 50 million. SWAN has achieved a “Very Good” certification under the BREEAM Europe 2009 regulations.
