Green Café: Local Measures for Attracting Green Investments PDF Print E-mail

September 23, Bucharest

The Romania Green Building Council organized together with Badea Clifford Chance a "RoGBC Green Café – Local Measures for Attracting Investment in Green Construction”. The event was part of the broader initiative  for creating a strategy for local public authorities  to encourage investments in Green Buildings  - developed within the Legislative Outreach Task Group. The event included an update with main conclusions from the survey RoGBC implemented to identify feedback on the topic from developers, architects and public authorities and a debate on the topic with the participants.

The 23rd September event was a meetup dedicated to creating an informal, yet constructive dialogue between developers and architects to identify which are the most important local measures we want to promote further for attracting investments in green construction at the local level. The dialogue was encouraged through working in thematic groups (financial incentives, expedited permitting, density bonuses, other type of incentives). Representatives from local public authorities participated as well.

Participants from all construction disciplines attended: developers and architects, representatives from other type of companies (construction, solution providers, technical consultants etc) that worked directly with local public authorities .
