The 6 hours workshop is required for those seeking "Romania Green Building Professional" accreditation

A full day course focused on understanding the availability, benefits, legislative requirements and specification considerations for using Sustainable Construction Materials in construction project. Important green design concepts such as "cradle to cradle" and embodied energy were presented.

Trainer - Ph.D Bogdan Draganescu

Bogdan Draganescu

Ph.D., M&OE - founder & managing director of Smart & Pepper Consulting

Mr. Draganescu holds a PhD. in manufacturing and operations engineering from the University of Limerick/ Ireland and a Bachelor with Honours in Industrial Engineering from the University Politehnica / Bucharest, Romania.

With more than 9 years of consultancy experience, Mr. Draganescu has been involved in a wide range of projects both in the industrial and commercial sector: as industrial engineer and project manager for Michelin, operations planning analyst at Philip Morris, project manager at Rominserv, project manager at Epstein Architecture and Engineering and as operations director at WSP Romania.

Mr. Draganescu is the founder and Managing Director of Smart & Pepper Consulting, a green building and sustainable energy consultancy company committed to promote sustainability in buildings, energy and lifestyle. His most recent activities included: ambassador for Holcim Romania for the Holcim Foundation Awards 2010 – 2012, national expert for United Nations Development Program ‘Improving Energy Efficiency in Low-Income Households and Regions of Romania’, project management of turn-key projects for sustainable residence development in Bucharest, research and development of sustainable alternative energy sources and the implementation and training for ISO 9001 and 14001 quality systems in cooperation with Det Norske Veritas Norway.

Mr. Draganescu has been actively involved as vice-president and founding member of the Romanian Green Building Council and continues to promote the development of the Council. He has also an active role in promoting the green building culture in Romania: as project manager of Exemplary Green Building Project, his involvement in the legal outreach for law projects concerning incentives for energy efficient housing and he is part of the ‘European Project for Green Buildings Best Practices Database’.
