The CONTRAST Exhibition is a fragment of the DIALOG WITH THE VISIBLE PROJECT and the first of a series of temporary concept stores that will occur in the fall of 2011, in Bucharest. CONTRAST’s first edition will take place between the 3rd and the 6th of November 2011, in partnership with Odeon Theatre Bucharest.

Organizers have in mind promoting and refreshing Romanian culture through creativity and diversity, making the most of contemporary art, having a responsibility towards artists, designers and the public, in an underground mounting – the Odeon Studio.

The goal of this event is to acknowledge and to appreciate the great artistic quality and authenticity. We set ourselves to achieve an innovative space, that will combine, in a original way, contemporary art appearances.

The exhibition will be supported by the engagement of both young emerging artists as Irina Neacsu (furniture design), Otilia Cadar (painture), Ruxandra Raileanu (painture) and Dragos Scurtulescu (photography), as well as important representatives of the Romanian furniture design market and decorative art: Artlerier, Innova, Kartell, My House and Inside by Innova. These will be the distinguished participants that will blazon interior design solutions, trying to imagine possible interior atmospheres.

Also during this event, Romania Green Building Council will exhibit one of their projects, ecoBiblioteca, concerning the authentication of Living Building Challenge. This is the first European project of its kind.

Art, design, architecture and photography will be fully appreciated for a total of four days, this platform-event being one that promotes a lifestyle, an area that will celebrate individualism. The approach, each object exhibited at this event – furniture, decorations, paintings – will make a point of the contemporary geometrical blend in interior design. Everything will be chosen in order to astonish and to delight the public: furniture, decorations, aerial and brilliant objects, delicate china. Our stories will reconstruct the cultural feel of Bucharest and our creations are waiting to be admired and to fill in our socio-cultural blank.

The opening will take place on the 3rd of November 2011, at 6.30 pm, being followed by “Blifat”, a theatre play written by Gabriel Pintilei and directed by Alexandry Mihail.

The CONTRAST Exhibition will be open until Sunday, the 6th of November, between 12 and 6 pm.
