Romania Green Building Council

Mr. Borncamp led the team that organized the Romania Green Building Council, the "Build Green CEE" conference and numerous other green building initiatives for the region. He has provided strategic advice and managed complex business and technology projects for leading multinational companies across the Central and Eastern European region and the United States. Steve was an early advocate of sustainable development and socially responsible business having joined in 1993 the First Affirmative Financial Network - one of the pioneering investment companies in the field.

Profile:
Mr Hyde has had thirty years of experience in the construction industry. He has worked for contractors, design consultants and government in Britain, South Africa, the Caribbean and Romania. For the last fourteen years he has led multi-disciplinary design teams within Arup, one of the world’s foremost practitioners and promoters of green buildings. Projects for which he has been responsible include BREEAM “Excellent” rated buildings such as the National Assembly for Wales and Cardiff Central Library.
In 2010 he moved permanently to Romania to take over the leadership of Arup’s Romania Group.

Dragos RITI

Other Business Activities: Director of Construction for ERSTE Group Immorent in Romania. Mr. Profile: Mr. Riti is an experienced construction professional working in the design, execution, cost and project management for sustainable construction projects. He is one of the first graduates of our Romania Green Building Professional accreditation program and contributes his expertise to the development of the "Financial Valuation of Green Buildings" course. Beyond his professional life, Dragos is a green building enthusiast working to incorporate sustainable construction principles and solutions into his personal residence. His experience in both large and small building projects well serve the objectives of this project very well; namely and independent view to choose the most sustainable, economical solutions

Alina CRISTEA

RoGBC Position: Training Task Group Leader

Other Business Activities: Sustainable Development Manager for Holcim Romania.

Profile: Demonstrated professional experience in construction field (ASRO member of technical committee for building materials, civil engineering). Ms. Cristea holds in depth knowledge of sustainable development in the construction field, but also of European and Romanian authorities and other stakeholders (including academia and scientific) positions and experience in developing and promoting sustainable technologies and products at national and international level both for the company and industry level (active work-group member in cement and concrete national associations).
